Villa Collegale

The Villa Collegale, a truly classic Italian home, is situated well off the main road and is set in a small historic hamlet dating from the 1500s, just 2.2 km from the main north/south road between Florence and Siena. The closest village, Greve-in-Chianti, is just 4.5 km. This is the heart of Chianti Classico where one can find shopping and the famous Saturday market.

The villa is a large free-standing house with a western facing terrace for maximum daily sun, with panoramic views and a large pool that is shared with the adjacent apartments. In the villa there are three large double bedrooms all with their own bath en suite. On the ground floor there are two living rooms opening to the large terrace and the covered pergola for outdoor dining.

All furnishings date from the 1700-1800s. The formal dining room opens to the terrace adjacent to a large country kitchen. A housekeeper is available for two hours each day and for any extras. Internet and telephone access is also available.

On the property there is a small farmhouse with two small apartments and a restaurant for the guests or private functions. There is ample parking inside the villa's locked gate.

The villa is located just 18 km from the historic center of Florence and is surrounded with beautiful woods where one can enjoy quiet walks. Villa Collegale produces it own balsamic vinegar, wine, olive oil and farm products that are available to guests in the small shop just across the drive adjacent to the little restaurant.
